How to "OK" Domain Transfer from GoDaddy

GoDaddy may not immediately release your domain name even after email authorization. Our clients reported that they had to go through an extra step to "OK" a domain transfer from the GoDaddy Dashbaord after verifying the transfer request via email. Here are the steps to follow in order to "OK" a pending transfer from GoDaddy:

  • Sign in to your GoDaddy account.
  • Select the "Domain Manager" option from the left column. (Your list of GoDaddy domains is displayed.)
  • Don't click on the domain name to be transferred, but move your mouse over the "Domains" tab at the top of the page.
  • Select the "Pending Transfers" option.
  • Click on the checkbox next to the domain name.
  • Click on "Accept/Decline" option above the checkbox.
  • Select "Accept" and press the appropriate button. (This completes the transfer process.)
