Two Strikes Out Policy (Abuse Cases)

At GigaLayer, we take the integrity and security of our network seriously. To maintain a safe and reliable hosting environment for all our clients, we have implemented a strict policy regarding spam and abuse incidents originating from shared hosting accounts.

Our 2-Strike Policy

  1. First Incident: If our abuse department detects any spam or abuse activity from your shared hosting account, this will be counted as the first strike. You must resolve the issue within a specified period and take measures to prevent its recurrence.
  2. Second Incident: A repeat of spam or abuse activity will lead to the second strike. Your account will be suspended at this point, and you must take immediate action to resolve the issue.

Account Termination

  • Third Incident: If a third instance of abuse is recorded, we will unfortunately have to terminate your account under our terms and conditions.

Immediate Cancellation

  • In cases where the activity from an account poses a direct threat to the security of our network, we reserve the right to cancel the account immediately, as outlined in our terms and conditions.

Reporting and Resolving Abuse Issues

  • Ticket System: All abuse issues must be reported and resolved exclusively through our ticket system. This ensures a clear, written record of the issue and the steps taken to resolve it.
  • No Phone Discussions: Please note that abuse issues cannot be discussed over the phone. This policy is in place to maintain transparency and accountability, with all actions supported by written documentation.
  • Resolution and Reactivation: If you are ready to resolve an identified issue, please respond to the ticket confirming your commitment to take necessary actions. Our team will then provide you with detailed instructions on how to rectify the issue. Complying with these instructions is the only way to have your account reactivated.

Your Cooperation is Essential

Your cooperation in adhering to these policies is crucial in maintaining the quality and security of our hosting services. We appreciate your understanding and prompt attention to any issues that arise.
